WhatYouPost needs to connect with each account to view the information you want analyzed. You can connect with one account or many accounts. You can connect with one account from each area or many from each area.
To Set Up Your Accounts:
- Click My Profile on the Main menu bar.
- Click My Social Networks.
- Set up the accounts you want to connect to WYP:
- Twitter
- Facebook
- Blogs
- Click the Start Scoring! button to let WYP know that you have finished adding accounts.
WhatYouPost is now ready to analyze your content. Your next step, if you haven’t already done so, is to purchase a WYP Score product.
Tip: If you’re connecting to more than one account in a single area, be sure to log out of the first account before trying to connect with the second account. For example, if you want to connect more than one Facebook account, log out of the first one after connecting it so that the authentication will not automatically log back into it.
Twitter:
- Click the Connect button above the Twitter table.
- If you are already logged into Twitter, click Allow to the Allow WhatYouPost access question.
- If you are not already logged into Twitter, enter your Username or Email and Password and click Allow.
Twitter and WYP are now connected.
- To add this account to your public profile page, click Add to public profile.
Tip: You must set your profile to Public before the account will show up on the page.
Facebook:
- Click the Connect with Facebook button above the Facebook table.
- Connect with Facebook
- If you are already logged into Facebook, click Connect in the next window.
- If you are not already logged into Facebook, enter your Email and Password and click Connect.
- In the Request for Special Permissions window, click Allow Access.
- If you want WYP to remember you so you don’t have to log in next time, click Allow.
Facebook and WYP are now connected.
- To add this account to your public profile page, click Add to public profile.
Tip: You must set your profile to Public before the account will show up on the page.
Blogs:
- Click the Authenticate account button above the Blogs table.
- Type the URL and the name you use for your blog and click the Add blog button.
- Copy the Claim Code that appears once your blog has been connected and click Close.
- Create a new post for your blog and paste the claim code within the post.
- Click the Validate button to confirm that you own the blog.
- To add this account to your public profile page, click Add to public profile.
